Sky at Home

The sky outside my house on some days.

Fisor

Fisor (abbreviation for Finger Sensor) is my team's entry to Create Challenge 2011, engineering competition held in Singapore on August 2010. The theme for that year was future mobility, and the main sponsor of the year was Nokia. Our team name was The Three Musketeer, consisting of me and my two classmates, Anthony and Yohanes. Anthony thought of how to change controller, such as mouse, to be more portable. So, he thought of this device name fisor as a wireless controller for computers.

He then outlined the design of the device to be put on the finger tips. My job was to make the 3D model of the device. I only made a 3D model once before then for my school project, a part of the school. But 3D modelling is surely fun and challenging, especially when I had to colour the model because I never rendered 3D model before this model, so I was troubled with lighting and texture of the model. Luckily for lighting, I was in the photography club so I know about lighting here and there.

This is the details of the device.
Put the device on your finger tips.

Then point it to the sensor attached to the monitor. This last drawing was done by my teammate, Anthony.

We won a Nokia N8 for the competition and a 3-days trip to Beijing to visit the Nokia Campus there.

The competition was held right before Microsoft released Kinect for Xbox. If it was after the release of Kinect, then we won't win with the idea (sigh).

This was my team's project, so I do not own fully the idea of the project. For those who are interested, please contact me further.

This is the model in 3D. I didn't make it with Google SketchUp, so I cannot upload it to Google Warehouse like the other models I published in other posts.

Eyeglasses

Eyeglasses

I used it to a statue model which I created to be put on my school's model as a club project. I made this by using curves, then copy and flip the copy, add the center. Done.

Spiral Staircase

This is my work as a member of Tech Council in ACJC, Singapore. It is used in the club's school model which is said to be made into a navigation page displayed in the school main entrance.

Singapore Botanical Garden

I've got new photo collections. It's from the orchid garden of Singapore Botanical Garden. Entrance to the orchid garden is not FOC except for times when free pass is given to special groups. I went in there for free when there was free pass for students.
